Introduction

These Terms of Service explain the conditions under which CTRL ALT Repair provides IT support, computer repair, and related services.
By booking or using any service, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

CTRL ALT Repair is a trading name operated by Andy Fewtrell


1. Services Provided

CTRL ALT Repair offers professional computer and IT services including but not limited to:
• Laptop and desktop repairs
• Virus and malware removal
• Hardware upgrades and maintenance
• Data recovery and backup
• Wi-Fi and connectivity support
• Small business IT support

All services are carried out with reasonable care and skill in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982.


2. Booking and Appointments

• Services can be booked through the website contact form, by phone, or by email.
• Appointment dates and times will be confirmed directly with you.
• On-site visits may be subject to availability and travel distance.


3. Payments

Payments are due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Accepted payment methods include cash, bank transfer, or approved digital payment.
• Hourly rates are confirmed before work begins, and you will receive a clear estimate where possible.
• Invoices are issued upon request or for all business-related work.


4. Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
• Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in a call-out fee being applied.
• CTRL ALT Repair reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to illness, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances.


5. Data and Privacy

All personal data is handled securely and in compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.
• Devices are handled with care to maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• You are advised to back up any important data before repair work begins.

6. Liability

• While every effort is made to protect data and hardware, CTRL ALT Repair cannot accept responsibility for data loss or further damage that occurs during repair or testing if caused by existing faults or hardware failure.
• Warranty seals may be broken as part of diagnostics or repair work where necessary.
• Repairs are performed using compatible, high-quality parts. Replacement parts may carry their own manufacturer warranty.


7. Warranty on Work

• All repair work is covered by a 30-day labour warranty unless stated otherwise.
• If a fault reoccurs within this period and is related to the original repair, the work will be reviewed and corrected free of charge.
• This warranty does not cover new or unrelated faults, accidental damage, misuse, or software issues arising after collection.


8. Remote Support

• Remote assistance may be provided using secure software tools with your consent.
• You are responsible for closing any confidential files before the session begins.
• Remote access will be terminated immediately after the support session is completed.

10. Legal and Governing Law
